As Perth’s leading fruit and vegetable wholesaler, both owners identified that it was time to improve their digital landscape and offer their clients the ability to order products online. The mission was to be the first in the region to offer this service and limit data input for their sales department.
Considerable time was spent mapping the customer journey and data flow between independent CRM’s and accounting systems. This ensured that entry into the client portal was simplistic for the customer and all data flowed into the correct systems.
In addition, custom CSS and PHP coding formed a large part of the design to allow any combination of weight, height and dimensions of orders to be entered by the sales team when keeping the system up to date.
The result was a fully automated ordering system, where clients could add items to their shopping cart and checkout in a matter of minutes. The best part was the re-ordering function which allowed customers the ability to log in and order the same items again with one click. This has proved to be a godsend for the sales team and client as, during each season, restaurants typically re-order the same produce.
